Geldards instructed by RSPCA in Prosecution of Police Dog Handler
Geldards has been instructed by the RSPCA to prosecute the police dog handler accused over the deaths of two police dogs in Nottinghamshire.
The two German shepherd dogs were found dead in a private vehicle outside Nottinghamshire Police's headquarters on 30 June when temperatures in Nottingham reached 28.1C (82.5F).

The prosecution will be brought against the officer for allegedly causing unnecessary suffering to the animals. Nottinghamshire Police confirmed the officer has been suspended.

Partner Tim Shock from Geldards who is representing the RSPCA, said: “This is an extremely serious case and highlights the dangers of leaving animals in cars during hot weather.”

This will be the latest in a string of instructions given by the charity to Geldards to prosecute individuals following allegations of animal mistreatment.
