Geldards was doubly represented at Thursday's Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.
Jonathan Dancey, Finance Director, was invited in recognition of his 42 years’ service as a volunteer coastguard in the Vale of Glamorgan. In addition to the Coastguard Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, Jonathan also holds the Queen's Golden Jubilee and Diamond Jubilee Medals.
Huw Williams, Vice-Chairman of Geldards and Lead Partner of Public Law, was nominated by the Law Society of England and Wales in recognition of his voluntary work on specialist committees of the Law Society. These committees play an important role in seeking to influence government law reform policy at both UK and Welsh Government level. Since 2003 Huw has served on both the Planning and Environment Law and the Wales Committees. Huw also served on the Welsh Government Independent Advisory Group on Planning Law, whose report in 2012 was influential in shaping the Planning (Wales) Act 2015.
Jonathan and Huw are pictured with their wives, Andrea and Kathleen, who enjoyed a memorable afternoon which included the opportunity to view the historic Buckingham Palace Gardens and to enjoy the playing of the Bands of the Household Cavalry and Royal Logistic Corps. HM the Queen was accompanied by TRH (Their Royal Highnesses) The Duke of Cambridge, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent, Princess Alexandra of Kent and Princess Eugenie of York.
