Geldards Strengthens Its Clinical Negligence Presence
08 November 2011Geldards has expanded its Clinical Negligence team with the appointment of three specialist lawyers. The firm announced the appointment of Angelina Rigby, who joins the firm as head of clinical negligence. Helen Neville and Nye Moloney join as Solicitor and Legal Executive respectively.
These significant hires within the Clinical Negligence team enhance the range of advice offered by the firm’s Dispute Resolution Team which is headed by partner Paul Hopkins.
Geldards has put together a specialist team of lawyers who understand the complex issues surrounding clinical negligence and are dedicated to achieving the best outcome for clients.
Geldards' Clinical Negligence team possesses over 25 years of expertise in settling clinical negligence claims. They have achieved individual settlements for clients in excess of £1 million in a range of complex areas including spinal and brain injury claims.
Over the years, Angelina and her team have worked tirelessly to help where there have been clinical mistakes, striving to achieve the best possible outcome in terms of compensation, support for vital care, equipment and accommodation needs. Angelina, Helen and Nye understand the impact that negligence has on clients and their families and handle personal issues that affect clients in a sensitive way.
Angelina is a member of the Law Society’s specialist Clinical Negligence Panel (and Personal Injury panel) and is a member of AvMA (Action against Medical Accidents, the leading charity in promoting the interests of patients) and APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers).
The team has a wide background of experience. It contributes to community work; within the Mental Health sector, representing patients under Section in Tribunals and Hospital Managers’ Meetings; providing free legal advice and assistance to Citizens Advice Bureaus and local universities; and Angelina has provided expert knowledge as a speaker at AvMA conferences.
