Derby & Nottingham Interact Groups Host Christmas Events
16 December 2011Midlands based property and construction firms were out in force discussing business opportunities for next year at Christmas lunches held by Midlands based branches of networking club Interact.
Operating for over 20 years, the Derby branch hosted its Christmas Lunch in the Pedigree Suite at Pride Park Stadium. Derby Interact Chairman and Geldards’ partner Graham Banks hosted the lunch. Graham was joined by 364 guests including members from the Derby, Sheffield, Nottingham and Leicester Interact branches. Attendees were successful in raising £3,200 for The Lord's Taverners, the UK's leading youth cricket and disability sports Charity.
The Nottingham branch held its Christmas lunch at Hart’s Restaurant. Newly appointed chair and Geldards’ Senior Associate, Antonia Gardner, hosted the lunch, welcoming members and their guests from the construction and property sector.
Graham Banks commented: “As chairman of Derby Interact for several years now, I always look forward to the Christmas event particularly as it provides the opportunity to catch up with so many people in the industry and to discuss opportunities for the property and construction sector in the new year.”
Antonia Gardner commented: “I’m delighted to take over the reins as chair of the Nottingham branch of Interact. I’ve been a member for several years, and have developed strong links with members of the local property and construction community as a result. Attending Interact events is always a useful way to keep your finger on the pulse of activity in the local construction and property market. As chair, I hope to continue to promote links between existing members, and to encourage new members who will derive the same benefits.”
