Geldards Reappointed to Legal Panel

One of the leading organisations in Wales helping to drive economic growth has reappointed Geldards LLP to its panel of specialist legal advisers.

Finance Wales manages investment funds of around £335 million and supports Welsh businesses with the potential for growth.

Its commercial investments, which include loans and equity investments of up to £2 million per investment round, enable small and medium-sized businesses to realise their potential.

Geraint Tilsley, a partner at Geldards’ Cardiff office, said he was delighted at the firm’s continued involvement with Finance Wales as it continues to expand:

“We have acted for Finance Wales since 2002, but our association with the company really took off in 2008Since then we have been involved in numerous high-profile deals.

“Although our primary involvement relates to providing advice on investments, portfolio management and funds, our panel appointment goes wider than that, covering all aspects of Finance Wales’ legal needs.”

Geraint went on to say that Finance Wales is playing an increasingly important role in the Welsh economy, helping firms to secure vital investment at a time when banks and conventional lenders are reluctant to provide loans.

“From our point of view, being part of the legal panel is beneficial as it helps us to build close relationships with a key economic player in Wales,” he added.
