We have a strong track record and impressive reputation for handling public law disputes. We have been involved in a number of prominent public law and judicial review cases in recent years, advising applicants and public bodies alike. This has involved us in dealing with issues of Freedom of Information and Data Protection, which are often part and parcel of public law disputes. The experience we have built up as a result means that we can provide up to the minute advice on this rapidly developing subject. We are also regularly called on to advise in relation to grant payments (particularly on the recovery of such payments by public bodies) and complaints procedures. We have been instructed to review the procedures themselves and to handle individual complaints, both internally by public bodies and where referred to external adjudicators and Ombudsmen. We have also advised in relation to and provided representation at statutory and non statutory tribunals and inquiries.
