Employee monitoring can often be a tricky area for employers. Striking a balance between employee privacy and the interests of an organisation can be difficult in practice. Recent cases in relation to monitoring employee emails have seen the courts come down on both sides of the fence; in favour of the employee in some instances and in favour of the employer in others. The situation is further complicated by an increase in employees working from home and using their own electronic devices for work purposes.
In our Autumn seminar we will look at the legal and practical requirements employers must adhere to if they want to ensure that their methods of monitoring employees are legally compliant. We’ll specifically look at the requirements under the GDPR, the recent case law and guidance in this area.
We’ll also be providing you with a comprehensive update on recent and up and coming developments in employment law, including holiday pay, shared parental leave, the Good Work plan and other cases of note.
Feedback received from our last seminar:
"Very topical & helpful"
'Excellent content, ideal duration, great venue ‐ easily accessible, great delivery'
We look forward to seeing you there.
