CAMILLE FRENCH-WILLIAMS



Camille is a solicitor within our Commercial Services team with experience in advising both public and private sector bodies on data protection (DPA) and information law issues.

She provides accurate and tactical advice, providing client friendly solutions to data protection queries, ensuring the preservation of a client’s confidence and reputation in carrying out data processing. Her thorough understanding of Freedom of Information (FOI) issues means that Camille is able to offer advice that allows clients to fulfil their DPA and FOI obligations by implementing appropriate systems supporting compliance.

Recent examples of Camille’s information law experience include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of client updates for both private and public sector clients in relation to the implications of the General Data Protection Regulation.

  • Advising a public sector client in relation to the resolution of a data security breach, including advising on mitigation requirements.

  • Assisting with advising a well-known South Wales based charity in respect of data collection and sharing agreements entered into by the charity with third party service providers and peer-to-peer sharing of data collected by the charity through its activities.

  • Advising various commercial clients in relation to their website terms of use, privacy policies, cookies and general compliance with data protection and e-privacy legislation.
