Geldards has strengthened its nationally recognised real estate team with the appointment of Heather Dixon as Partner.

Having been a Partner at Derby firm Flint Bishop since 2002, Heather brings with her a wealth of experience in providing specialist advice to developers, landlords and business owners on a comprehensive range of property related matters.

Recognised as an expert within the education sector, Heather has a great deal of experience in advising schools and colleges on their acquisition, development and disposal requirements.

Graham Banks, partner and head of Geldards’ Derby office, explained: “Heather’s vast experience of the local market and beyond makes her a valuable addition to our real estate team and we’re delighted to welcome her to the firm.

“Her reputation for providing clear, pragmatic advice on complex property transactions and developments strengthens our commitment to delivering the highest levels of client service.”

Over the past few years Heather has also advised on a number of major transactions in the retail sector, acting for developers on build agreements and investment sales involving large distribution sheds.

Graham continued: “Heather’s expertise in advising educational institutions, along with her familiarity with some of the UK’s largest retailers, will help continue to enhance the reputation of our highly regarded education and retail sector teams.”

Based in Geldards’ Derby office on Pride Park, Heather will play key role in Geldards’ real estate team, which operates across the firm’s five offices situated in Cardiff, London and the Midlands.

Heather said: “Joining Graham and Geldards’ UK-wide real estate team is an exciting prospect and one that provides the opportunity to work with clients of all sizes across a wide range of sectors.

“I look forward to working with the firm’s multi-disciplined education and retail teams with the hope of strengthening and growing the firm’s existing relationships, whilst also building new ones too.”
