Once you decide that you’d like your claim to be investigated, we will explain the available options for funding.

At Geldards, initial consultations to discuss clinical negligence complaints are free. There is no catch and there will be no hidden charges. We are also very happy to arrange to visit you at home or in hospital.

No Win, No Fee
We regularly enter into “no win, no fee” agreements with clients. Where we win your case for you, your opponent will pay your reasonable legal costs meaning that you will keep your compensation. A success fee is also deducted from your compensation but it is capped. If you lose, you do not pay our charges. We’ll make sure we explain this process fully to you.

Legal Expenses Insurance
You may hold Legal Expenses Insurance cover as part of your existing insurance policies (such as home and contents). We are routinely approved by insurance companies to handle claims on behalf of their customers and can check for you if this option for funding is available.

Successful claims
We have helped many hundreds of clients to pursue a negligence claim and have successfully secured multi-million pound settlements providing much needed financial security for vital care and equipment costs.

You may receive a large lump sum or an award paid on an annual basis. In either case, it is very important to consider the best method of preserving or investing your money to maximum benefit to you and your family. Our Private Client colleagues are expert in setting up Trusts, advising on Court of Protection matters and, as lawyers who understand emotional situations very well, bring to bear a great deal of common sense and sensitivity.
