David is an accomplished business lawyer who specialises in real estate transactional and advisory work for local, regional and national clients.

David joined Geldards in 2007, and now heads the commercial property team in the firm’s Nottingham office. He manages the team’s innovative lease renewal group, which provides a dedicated and highly cost effective service for retail sector clients, and which has generated significant cost savings for those clients in recent years.

He also leads Geldards' property finance team in the Midlands, and acts for a number of prominent regional and local developers in relation to site assembly, acquisitions and disposals. He undertakes real estate investment transactions and general landlord and tenant work for both investors and occupiers.

David has practiced in the East Midlands throughout his career, and lives with his wife Julie in rural South Derbyshire. Their son Matthew is a business consultant and lives and works in London. David is a keen (but not especially proficient!) golfer, a former hockey player and an avid football and cricket watcher (and a long-time member of MCC).
