David has operated in real estate for 30 years as a lawyer, property developer and financier. His experience encompasses residential, commercial, sports and retail development.

At the outset of his career David acted for major residential developers such as Barratts, Bellway and Morris Homes dealing with site acquisitions, assembly and planning issues. Dealing with promotion and option agreements has been a regular feature of those schemes.

After spending time as a property developer and then as general manager of a large building society, David returned to the law, spending much time with site assembly for the public sector for major development schemes.

David has advised professional football, cricket and rugby clubs on ground development and, for many years, has advised PLC’s on their operational property requirements.

"David has always displayed the ability to see past immediate issues, and to take into account the whole picture before mentoring/recommending a course of action.

"His approach is one of commercial good sense as opposed to spouting legal jargon.

"He is also very good company - always a benefit when dealing with what can be problematic legal issues."
