From his original grounds as a property lawyer David’s experience developed by spending time as a property developer and also in senior management with a large building society.

A considerable part of David’s career has been spent in working with the public sector on major development schemes; Cardiff Bay and Derby’s Pride Park being two examples.

Through that work David has developed his role into that of a strategic advisor to the sector sitting on various public/private sector bodies and working closely with senior management teams within the local government, education and health sectors.

Most recently David lead the Geldards team that secured the firm a place on the East Midlands Law Share panel and set up, with Geoff Wild of Kent County Council, the innovative and successful Law: Public alliance.

What People Say

"To have David as a business partner, a legal expert, a wise consultant, or if you are lucky enough to count him as a friend, then you are indeed very fortunate.

"Extremely well connected, able to rise above black-letter law, to see (and most importantly seize) commercial opportunity, to find solutions where other see only problems, are all his in abundance.

"As Chairman of Geldards, he has helped create a formidable firm in his own image and forged strong links with the public sector via LawPublic."
Geoff Wild, Director of Governance & Law, Kent County Council
