As a paralegal and a trainee under Adam Friel, Doug spent a great deal of his time working to advance the education and disability rights of children and young people.  He is a very passionate advocate of the right to a proper education for everyone.  He has developed particular expertise in SEN law, motivated by his own life, education and professional experiences having his own specific learning difficulty (dyspraxia).

Doug prides himself on attention to detail, tenacity and his personal investment into cases.Nothing in education law is ever just a matter of business for him – it is the child, young person or student who is at the heart of his practice at all times.

In his spare time, Doug is a drummer, a health and fitness enthusiast, a sumo wrestler and a self-professed ‘nerd’!
