ELLIS PUGH



Ellis is a Solicitor specialising in charities, social enterprises and not-for-profit organisations.

Ellis works on matters ranging from registration with the Charity Commission, drafting and amending governing documents, incorporation, mergers and transfers, dissolution, the creation of group structures, compliance, trustee duties, trading matters and general charity secretarial work.

He has experience advising on the above in relation to a number of structures varying from traditional charitable trusts to companies limited by guarantee, Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs) and Community Benefit Societies.

Ellis is a member of the Charity Law Association, Assistant Clerk to Scargill’s Educational Foundation, Company Secretary to the Derwent Valley Trust and Derbyshire Historic Buildings Society and president of the Junior Lawyers Division of the Derby & District Law Society.

In his spare time Ellis enjoys singing with a local male voice choir, playing board games and badminton.
