Paul sits on the IBLC Council and is Joint Chair of the IBLC Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Geraint participated in the meeting and spoke on a panel, which was very well received on Global Market Dynamics in M&A transactions. The meeting was attended by 70 delegates from 38 countries. Topics also covered, in addition to M&A transactions, included the psychology of family owned businesses, crypto assets, investing opportunities for R&D activities in Spain, international arbitration and GDPR.

The speakers were from UK, Russia, Belgium, Mexico, Peru, Austria, Switzerland and USA and covered all aspects of international arbitration including drafting dispute resolution clauses, the initial conference, witness statements, cross examination and enforcement of awards. It included a mock cross examination and a video link up with USA, Switzerland and Austria in which Paul took part and he also spoke on the Enforcement of Foreign Judgments and Awards in England and Wales post Brexit. The conference had simultaneous Russian-English and English-Russian translation.
