Geraint is a highly experienced business lawyer with over 15 years’ experience advising on mergers and acquisitions both in the UK and internationally.

Geraint regularly advises on cross-border M&A transactions, with a particular focus on the acquisition of UK-based businesses by corporates from across Europe, North America and further afield.

Highlights include advising:

  • Frankfurt-based DVB Bank on its sale of a majority shareholding in TES Aviation (including subsidiary operations in Japan, Singapore, New Zealand and the US) to Mitsubishi Corporation and the Development Bank of Japan, which was Wales Deal of the Year for 2012

  • on Simbec’s acquisition of Orion Clinical Services including its subsidiary operations in Germany, France, Italy, Australia and the US (shortlisted for Wales VC Deal of the Year 2014)

Geraint is an active member of the Corporate Finance Practice Group of the International Business Law Consortium, an alliance of over 100 commercial law firms from more than 50 countries across Europe, the Americas, Africa, Middle East, Asia and Australasia. He has also spoken at meetings of DIRO, a German based organisation consisting of some 100 law firms providing support for businesses working in Germany.

Geraint regularly advises clients in Spanish and French, and also understands basic Portuguese and Italian.

    Geldards Chairman David Williams has been appointed Interim Chair of D2N2 LEP with immediate effect.The change in role follows the appointment of current Chair Elizabeth Fagan as the interim Marketing Strategy Director for the newly formed NHS Track and Trace.
