HUW WILLIAMS



Huw began his career as a lawyer in local government, prior to establishing the Public Law team at Geldards.

He advises on a diverse range administrative and constitutional issues relating to the powers of public bodies and their exercise. His clients are equally diverse and have included local authorities, national parks, development corporations and agencies, funding bodies for the arts and education, examination and qualification bodies, education inspectorates, royal charter corporations, national museums and libraries and the Police service in addition to central government in both Wales and England.

Huw has a particular interest in constitutional law and the devolved Welsh institutions. Clients he has advised on these issues include regulated public utilities.

Huw’s experience of public law dispute resolution covers, judicial review, statutory challenge, tribunals, inquiries and alternative dispute resolution through mediation.
