Not necessarily two topics you would put together and yet it is a case on these two areas of employment law (Casamitjana v League Against Cruel Sports) that has inspired the topic for our first Power Hour of 2019.
Whistleblowing can often strike fear into HR professionals (and employment lawyers too!). It’s one of those case law heavy areas of employment law where seemingly every minor detail is subject to interpretation; who has protection? what amounts to a protected disclosure? is the motive of the employee relevant? It’s also one of those areas of law which is often subject to reform. With all this in mind, we thought we’d have a look a whistleblowing in more detail and discuss some of these relevant issues.
As with all the previous sessions we’ve held, we’re keeping the numbers small, with a greater focus on discussing this topic in a relaxed atmosphere over breakfast.
Come armed with your questions and we hope to see you there!
