Alice Sockett - Legacies and In Memoriam Gifts Officer, Cardiff University.
Dr Magdalena Meissner -
Magda is a Clinical Research Fellow in Cancer & Genetics within Cardiff University’s School of Medicine. She is researching the causes of resistance to hormone therapy in breast cancer and ways to overcome this resistance to avoid having to resort to chemotherapy with its side effects and toxicity.
Professor Jeremy Hall -
Jeremy is Director and Research Theme Lead of Cardiff University’s Neurosciences & Mental Health Research Institute. Some current areas of research include:
- Role of psychiatric risk genes in learning and memory
- Expression and regulation of autism and schizophrenia associated genes
- Modulatory effects of early life experience on gene expression and psychiatric risk
- Genetic effects on brain function and structure
The evening will begin at 5.30pm with a chance to mingle and chat with the team and fellow guests and speakers.
