The Fourth National Assembly of Wales was the first with full legislative powers in the subject areas conferred on it by the Government of Wales Act 2006.
Between 2011 and 2016 a programme of no fewer than 28 acts of the Assembly received Royal Assent.
The implementation of this legislative programme is still continuing and our new Essentials Guide sets out details of both the provisions that have been commenced as at November 2016, and the Welsh Governments announcements to date to the future commencement of provisions not yet in force, as well as identifying those provisions where no commencement plans have been announced.
