Rob leads the marine services group and has over 30 years’ experience in acting for major public and private sector clients throughout the UK.
Rob read law at Jesus College Oxford before becoming a partner at a major law firm in Cardiff in 1979 and has been with Geldards since 2004.
Rob has been involved (for both Associated British Ports and for the Welsh Government) with the regeneration of Cardiff Bay since it first started in the 1990s. Most recently he acted for the Welsh Government on the Porth Teigr scheme at Roath Basin where he led the team delivering the legal input on the BBC drama studios project.
Rob has a number of non-executive positions and public appointments. He has been on the board of the UK marine planning and licensing regulator, the MMO, since it was established in 2010; he is a non-executive director of Wales’ largest business support agency, Business in Focus,and he chairs the panel advising the Welsh Government on investment in community renewable energy schemes.
