Rowland has worked on development and regeneration projects since the early 1980s for both the private and public sector.
Rowland’s work in real estate development and regeneration encompasses many different areas including housing, town centre regeneration and individual developments in the office and industrial sectors.
These are often long term projects led by Rowland but also involving colleagues from our construction, planning, finance, procurement and tax teams. These projects require a combination of excellent technical knowledge, project management skills and a thoroughly commercial approach. It often includes advising on the use of appropriate corporate vehicles for the project.
Rowland’s clients include developers, local authorities, the Welsh Government and landowners looking to realise the development potential of their holdings. Well known projects include the Millennium Stadium; Coed Darcy Urban Village; and the development of car parking for the St David’s 2 retail scheme. Rowland also advised the Welsh Government on the real estate aspects of £12 billion PFI/PPP project to create a tri-service defence technical training college.
