Rowland is a Geldards consultant advising both public and private sector clients on strategic real estate issues and major property development transactions.

Rowland trained with the firm after graduating from Cambridge University with a first class degree in 1975. On qualifying in 1978 he specialised immediately in the field of commercial property and was made a partner in the firm in 1981.

Rowland is actively involved in the field of contemporary art. An avid collector, Rowland was a trustee and vice chair of the Artes Mundi International Art Prize for five years and was a founder member of the Academy for Design in Wales. Rowland also served for thirteen years as a trustee of Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice.

Rowland was born and brought up in Cardiff where he lives with his wife Sian, a consultant with the firm. Their son James is an architect in London.
