Geldards newly formed networking group, inTOUCH Midlands, celebrated the launch of the group this month in Derby. The goal of the networking group is to empower young local professionals and provide the opportunity to network and make connections with others in the local area.
The group focuses on providing the opportunity to network and build contacts, the chance to get to know the professional landscape in their industry, and the ability to assist one another based on their areas of expertise.
As part of Geldards’ dedication to providing networking opportunities, the law firm hosts a number of social events per year at which individuals can form connections and expand their professional circle.
The launch event began at Studio One Bar in Derby, before a game of miniature golf at Paradise Island Adventure Golf. Young professionals attended from various industries and companies from across the East Midlands, including accountancy firms, financial advisers, banks, automotive and marketing firms.
Natalie Haydon-Yeung, an Associate at Geldards and one of the drivers behind the group, said:
“We are so pleased to launch the inTOUCH Midlands group and are thrilled that our first event was such a success and so well attended by many young professionals.
“It is difficult for young professionals to network effectively and develop contacts. This group aims to combat that by providing these opportunities and making networking accessible for those starting out in their careers. We have already been asked by those who attended about our upcoming events. We are very much looking forward to getting our ‘planning heads on’ and organising the next event!”
