Geldards newly formed networking group inTOUCH Midlands, celebrated its second event this month with a Race Night at the Orange tree, Derby. The networking group aims to empower young local professionals and provide networking opportunities in a relaxed environment.
The Race Night event saw young professionals from a whole range of industries across the East Midlands, including accountants, financial advisors, bankers, surveyors, commercial property consultants and graphic designers join together into teams, to place their bets and battle it out to win the most money in the horse racing games. The games were competitive, with the winning team taking a grand total of £9,000 (although sadly not real money).
As part of Geldards dedication to providing networking opportunities, the law firm hosts a number of social events per year at which individuals can form connections and expand their professional circle.
Dan Greatorex, a Solicitor in Geldards' Commercial Services team and one of the drivers behind the group, said:
“We are so pleased to celebrate another hugely successful inTOUCH Midlands event which was so well attended by such a diverse range of young professionals, including some new faces which really positive.
“We received excellent feedback from the attendees who commented on how the laid-back atmosphere made networking fun and easy which felt different to their usual networking events. People are already asking after our next event, so we better don our thinking caps!”
