Geldards announces appointment to £26bn Pagabo Developer-led Framework
Geldards is delighted to announce its successful appointment to the £26bm Pagabo National procurement Framework for Development-Led Schemes.
With an estimated total value of £26bn, the new framework will run for four years and has been brought to market following a 10-year strategic delivery partnership between Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation (YPO) and Pagabo. YPO is the centralised procurement authority for the frameworks, while Pagabo is the framework manager responsible for design, delivery and ongoing management. The partnership aims to simplify how public sector construction projects are delivered by offering, easier, quicker and compliant way to buy services.
It is the first time that development consultants and legal providers have been included in the framework, offering public sector clients a holistic procurement solution. Following a rigorous procurement process, Geldards has been appointed to Lot 2: Development Legal Providers reflecting the firm’s deep sector expertise. As a panel member, Geldards will provide comprehensive legal services across a wide range of specialisms to support Government projects, regulatory compliance and dispute resolution, offering expert legal guidance on everyday legal matters.
Geldards’ public sector expertise is well established and the firm is recognised as one of the leading public sector practitioners appointed to several major local government legal frameworks. Recognised as a Tier One team in Legal 500, Geldards’ Public Sector team advises on complex, high value major regeneration, development and investment projects for a variety of local authorities, government and regulatory bodies.
Commenting on the appointment, Tony Norris, Partner and Head of Infrastructure & Construction said:
“Geldards is thrilled to be appointed to Pagabo’s Developer-led Framework. This latest generation of the procurement framework, which encompasses legal support for the first time, gives public sector clients the opportunity to take advantage of an end-to-end procurement solution.
Geldards’ exemplary track record managing complex high-value local authority projects is well-documented and we look forward to working alongside our fellow panel members helping to deliver major regeneration schemes and improving the landscape of the built-environment.”
