Specifically, we can support you with:
- Strategic and deal structuring advice

- Promotion Agreements
- Collaboration Agreements
- Option Agreements
- Pre-emption Agreements
- Acquisition Agreements (including conditional contracts)
- Site acquisition and disposal
- Exclusivity Agreements and Confidentiality Agreements
- Planning Agreements and strategic planning advice
- Construction contracts and collateral warranties
- Funding Agreements (and funding arrangements in general)
- Overage Agreements
We advise on many commercial, residential and mixed-use development projects in both the public and private sectors, and represent a diverse range of clients including landowners, housebuilders, commercial developers, local authorities and other public bodies and pension funds. Our clients, in the private sector, include Clowes Developments (UK) Limited, Peveril Homes Limited, Bowmer & Kirkland plc, Redrow Homes Limited, Cedar House Investments Limited, Miller Birch Partnership and Wheeldon Brothers Limited. We are particularly committed to public sector regeneration projects, notably Porth Teigr and the St Athan Airfield (Aston Martin) for the Welsh Ministers and we currently act for Derby City Council in relation to a number of regeneration projects, including the regionally significant Becketwell redevelopment scheme.
We have a deep understanding of the issues which are ‘in play’ in large-scale development projects. We will work with you to truly understand your needs and goals and guide you to find the best solutions to development constraints. We will strive to be regarded as a highly valued member of your development team. And above all, we will communicate with you in a clear, concise and proactive manner; no ‘legal speak’ but pragmatic advice, sensibly delivered.
