We recognise that Charity law is different in so many respects from other legal areas and we are very keen to make sure our Charity clients are not only kept up-to-speed with regulatory changes but also have the opportunity to ask expert advisers, share ideas and discuss issues they have in common.

Indeed, 2014/15 has been a further year of change for the sector with continued implementation of the new Charitable Incorporated Organisation (from January 2014 available for any charity).

The Geldards’ Charity team has delivered a wide range of training about this new corporate vehicle and have, as a result, set up and registered several more CIOs for new charities and to enable transfers from existing unincorporated charities.

We also deliver bespoke governance workshops to our clients and have delivered many seminars on charity trading; Risk mitigation; Charity Investment rules; and the new SORP regulations.
