Geldards advises Sharpness Asphalt Limited on its sale to market leader Holcim UK
Geldards’ Corporate team has successfully advised Sharpness Asphalt Limited on its sale to national industry leader Holcim UK. The acquisition of the Gloucestershire asphalt plant by Holcim supports their growth strategy and will strengthen their presence in the South West.
Holcim UK are leading suppliers of sustainable building solutions to the UK construction industry and part of the Swiss multinational Holcim which employs 65,000 people globally.
Located next to Sharpness wharf in Gloucester, the accessible location of the asphalt plant is ideal for a rapid turnaround service for trade customers and SMEs, and the plant will be rebranded as a Holcim Express Asphalt site when it reopens in July.
Alex Butler, Geldards Corporate Partner led the advice to Sharpness Asphalt Limited assisted by Solicitor Jamie East and Trainee Solicitor Mari Richards.
