Geldards announces appointment to £60 million London Boroughs’ Legal Alliance framework
Geldards is delighted to reveal its inaugural appointment to the £60 million London Boroughs’ Legal Alliance (LBLA) legal services framework.
The LBLA is a collaborative partnership of local authority legal teams who deliver an efficient, value-added legal service to LBLA member authorities. The new framework commences on 8th January 2026 and runs for three years with the option to extend for a further 12 months.
A rigorous procurement exercise was undertaken by the London Borough of Haringey, alongside specialist legal procurement consultancy Kennedy Cater, to select recognised experts in the field of local government to join the Solicitors Panel. Geldards has been appointed to Lot One: Regeneration, reflecting the firm’s deep sector expertise.
Geldards’ public sector expertise is well established and the firm is recognised as one of the leading public sector practitioners appointed to major local government legal frameworks including EM Law Share, North East Procurement Organisation and Kent County Council Commercial Services Group. Recognised as a Tier One team in Legal 500, Geldards’ Public Sector team advises on complex, high value major regeneration, development and investment projects for a variety of local authorities, government and regulatory bodies.
Commenting on the appointment, Partner and Head of Public Sector Neil Walker said:
“Geldards is pleased to be appointed for the first time to the LBLA and the team is looking forward to bringing their specialist expertise to the panel, advising some of the largest local authorities in the country. We are proud of our exemplary track record managing complex high-value local authority projects and are looking forward to working with LBLA member boroughs on their regeneration schemes.”
