Local Authority Decision Making Webinar
Decision making is an important part of the lawful and effective functioning of a local authority. There are a range of legal and practical issues that local authorities need to address in order to avoid their decisions being challenged and to ensure that decisions meet the local authorities’ requirements.
Clare Hardy and Matthew Williams provided an introduction to the issues to be addressed in decision making, including responsibility for decisions, reasonable exercise of powers, consultation and bias and predetermination.
This webinar was a useful introduction or refresher for local authority officers who advise on decision making and governance.
