Welsh Charities Week 2026 – Day 1: How to Get Involved
Welsh Charities Week, organised by the WCVA, takes place between the 9 – 13 February 2026. The aim of the week is to recognise and shine a light on the amazing work of charities, voluntary organisations, community groups and volunteers across Wales.
Trustees and charity workers are often our biggest unsung heroes but here at Geldards we see your hard-work, passion and commitment.
WCVA are inviting us all to get involved in WelshCharitiesWeek in any way we can.
1. Volunteer
Welsh Charities Week is as good a time as any to donate your time to those who could use it. If you don’t know where to start, you can search for volunteering opportunities at Volunteering Wales (volunteering-wales.net).
Volunteering can also help improve your mental health and wellbeing, provide the opportunity to learn new skills, and strengthen your connection to your community.
2. Donate
Welsh Charities Week is a perfect time to give to a charity or voluntary organisation.
Your donation does not have to be monetary; you could donate a bag of clothes to your local charity shop, or produce to a foodbank or shelter. Remember, every donation makes an impact. For more ideas, please have a look at the WCVA campaign pack.
3. Champion
WCVA are encouraging us to give a shout out on social media to any charity you admire and share how the organisation has had a real effect on your life or the life of someone you care about. Remember to use #WelshCharitiesWeek.
If you are a charity, use the hashtag promote the work your charity does, highlight your staff and volunteers, and get others involved in championing Welsh charities.
Geldards, Azets and RBC Brewin Dolphin are delighted to announce the return of the All Wales Charity Governance, Law & Finance Conference, taking place on Thursday, 5 March 2026 at the Cardiff City Stadium.
The theme, “Resilience Revisited”, will explore what true resilience means for charities today. The conference is designed for managers and trustees across the charity and third sectors who want to deepen their understanding of governance, law, and finance. A perfect opportunity to gain and share insights on the Welsh charity sector.
