Jonathan has been advising on disputes since 1991 and specialises in public sector litigation, particularly judicial review and related areas, such as statutory challenges and statutory debts.
He regularly advises on procurement challenges and has participated in public inquiries. He also advises on contract, defamation and media related disputes. He heads up the firm’s debt recovery practice.
He has been a member of the Amateur Swimming Association’s Independent Disciplinary and Dispute Resolution Judicial Panel and has advised other sports governing bodies and others on sport related disputes. He has also advised public bodies on their internal complaints procedures, on specific complaints and where referred to external adjudication and the Ombudsmen.
Jonathan has experience of representing clients at mediation and on other forms of alternative dispute resolutions such as Early Neutral Evaluation.
His is described in the Legal 500 as “highly regarded”. He speaks from time to time particularly on judicial review issues, such as at the Wales Public Law and Human Rights Association following the establishment of the Administrative Court in Wales and at the Welsh Government Legal Services Conference in 2013.
