Our firm-wide Transport team operates from Derby, arguably the "Rail Epicentre" of the UK. The team has been closely involved in the Rail Industry since before privatisation in 1994.

At the time, our Commercial Team assisted the Midland Main Line operating unit in relation to vesting in 1995 and its franchising in 1996. Post franchising, we were retained by National Express to continue working with Midland Main Line and also work with other TOCs of National Express including Central Trains, Silverlink, Wessex, Scotrail East Anglia and East Coast.

Over the last 15 years, we have advised on several hundred matters covering virtually every aspect of the rail industry, from train leasing, depots and train maintenance, stations and station development and track access, to information technology and computer systems, ticketing and advertising.
