Cardiff PowerHour - Discrimination Arising from Disability & Reasonable Adjustments
In our first Power Hour of the New Year we look at disability discrimination and in particular the need to make reasonable adjustments. We are seeing a significant increase in the number of employment tribunal cases we’re dealing with which involve discrimination arising from disability and failure to make reasonable adjustments, two claims that often go hand in hand.
In this session we look at the scope of the obligation to make reasonable adjustments with particular focus on adjustments to trigger points in absence management procedures and enhanced sick pay provisions. The latter having become particularly topical in light of an increasing number of companies deciding to exclude employees who have not been vaccinated from contractual sick pay provisions.
