Geldards advise Clowes Developments on lease for Scientific Laboratory Supplies at Fairham Business Park

Geldards has successfully advised Clowes Developments on a long-term letting to major laboratory equipment suppliers Scientific Laboratory Supplies (SLS) of a purpose-built 56,000 sq ft unit at Fairham Business Park.

Fairham Business Park offers one million square feet of purpose-built commercial space in a flagship new neighbourhood close to transport links and minutes from the centre of Nottingham. As well as offering prime logistic facilities, the new Fairham will include 3,000 new homes and a neighbourhood centre.

Only the fourth business to snap up keys to the new state of the art Business Park, SLS was established in 1991 and has grown into the UK’s largest independent supplier of laboratory equipment, chemicals and consumables necessitating a move into larger premises.

SLS’s purpose-built 56,000 sq ft unit on Fairham Business Park recently achieved practical completion by lead contractor TanRo and is currently being fitted out by SLS with plans to be fully operational from early 2024.

Geldards advised Clowes on the build agreement for the lease, led by Derby based partner Heather Dixon, who heads up the industrial and logistics team, supported by construction partner Chris Hawrylak.
