Geldards advise Woodberry Packaging on acquisition of packaging giant Incodia
Geldards has advised Dublin-based Woodberry Packaging on the acquisition of packaging giant Incodia.
Woodberry Packaging, a subsidiary of private equity firm Woodberry Capital, is led by chief executive and founder Patrick Doran, who has extensive experience in the printing and packaging industry.
Incodia is the UK’s largest supplier of gift, loyalty and membership cards, with two manufacturing sites based in Essex and Lancashire and a turnover of €15 million last year.
The acquisition of Incodia supports Woodberry Packaging’s bid to expand its print and packaging operations and achieve forecast revenues of €48 million in 2023.
Leading on the deal from Geldards was Corporate Partner Debra Martin, who advised on all elements of the transaction, with support from solicitor Hugh White.
Debra Martin, Partner Geldards commented:
“This latest acquisition by Woodberry Packaging is an exciting step in their ambitious growth journey. We were pleased to act on behalf of Woodberry Capital last year on their first ever UK acquisition, and have been delighted to support Woodberry Packaging in completing the acquisition of Incodia which is a great fit for their business.”
Mark Keating, Director Woodberry Capital commented:
“Knowing we had the support of Geldards’ Corporate team throughout the transaction made all the difference. Their technical knowledge and pragmatic advice ensured the deal was concluded smoothly and efficiently. Our thanks go to the entire team.”
