Geldards advises Clowes on a deal to move Fathomtree to a purpose built industrial unit at Fairham Business Park
Geldards has successfully advised Clowes Developments on the build agreement for lease and letting of a circa 30,000 sq ft industrial unit for precision engineering and manufacturing specialist Fathomtree at Fairham Business Park.
Established over 50 years ago Nottingham-grown Fathomtree provides precision-engineered components to the aviation, automotive and healthcare industries. The move to Fairham Business Park will enable the Fathomtree to expand its workforce and client base and invest in new technologies to continue the company’s strategic growth.
Ideally located close to major transport links and near East Midlands Airport, Fairham Business Park is a mixed-use development project offering – 1 million sq ft of commercial development and 3,000 new homes with a focus on sustainability. Fathomtree’s purpose-built facility is under construction and will reach practical completion in the coming months and once completed Fathomtree will undertake an extensive fit out.
Geldards provided property and construction legal expertise, advising Clowes on the build agreement for lease and letting led by Derby based Partner Heather Dixon, who heads up the Industrial and Logistics Commercial Property team and supported by Construction Partner Chris Hawrylak, they were assisted on the transaction by Solicitor apprentice Sam Norris and Paralegal Sarah Jackson.
