Geldards Awarded ISO Certification For Information Security
Geldards has successfully achieved certification under the ISO 27001 Information Security Management Standard, following extensive preparation and a gruelling audit programme with BSI.
The ISO 27001 Certification is only awarded where an organisation can demonstrate that its information and data are kept and held securely using industry best practice and appropriate risk assessment.
Following the requirements of the Standard, assures the security of client information, financial information, intellectual property, employee details or information entrusted to a company by third parties.
ISO 27001 is the leading internationally recognised standard available and its award shows that Geldards has achieved all the requirements of the Standard for our information security management system.
The Geldards team behind the drive for certification was led by Head of Best Practice & Risk, Ben Johnson.
Ben, said:
“We are thrilled to have achieved the ISO 27001 Certification to complement our longstanding certification under ISO 9001 for quality management. We have only achieved certification because we were able to demonstrate that the culture of the firm embraced the importance of the disciplines needed on a day to day basis.
“We take data and information security very seriously and we hope that, with the ISO 27001 Certification, clients can rest assured we make the upmost effort to keep their data secure. Thank you to everyone at Geldards for what was genuinely a team effort and to our consultants Antony Bennett and John Barke at FPA consulting for their help and guidance.”
