The Willow Project Film Screening and Q&A

Geldards’ Family Team were thrilled to be invited to attend The Willow Project’s film screening last week of “Dawn’s Story”.

The Willow Project work closely in training the rural community and helping victims of rural domestic abuse in what are often remote parts of Derbyshire.

The film provides a powerful story of the abuse suffered by Dawn at the hands of her husband. Whilst entirely fictional, it sadly is reality for many in Dawn’s situation.

Claire Dean formed part of the esteemed panel that took questions following the film, alongside the Police and Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire, a Detective Sergeant in Derbyshire Police, a Domestic Abuse Workers, and a survivor of rural domestic abuse.
