Kim advises both landlords and tenants in relation to the complexities of both contested and uncontested commercial lease renewals pursuant to the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954. She has a keen interest in the retail sector and has acted for a number of retailers, including Walgreen Boots Alliance. She has experience acting for high street names such as Thomas Cook, Waterstone, Pizza Hut and WH Smith and also advises and acts for Eurocell Building Plastics Limited.

Kim has over 10 years’ experience dealing with high volume opposed and unopposed 1954 Act lease renewals. She is regularly involved in the preparation and service of statutory notices (or advising on notices served) and the progress of lease renewal matters through the Court proceedings, up to and including trial. Kim provides innovative tactical advice to meet her clients’ wider strategic requirements and to minimise legal costs, including advice on available exit strategies, other dispute resolution methods and issues regarding interim rent.
