Robert is a consultant in the Property department working on Major Projects for both public and private sector clients across the UK including complex regeneration and development projects and renewable energy schemes.
He has represented Associated British Ports, the UK’s largest port operator, since the late 1980s.Rob deals with the whole spectrum of property work for port sites, including leases, sales and purchases, licences, options and commercial agreements.
Rob’s work for ABP includes acting on a very significant series of projects involving the development of biomass power plants, energy from waste and related multi user berthing and rail agreements. He is currently representing ABP on the £1 billion Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon project, which is the first of its kind to be proposed in the world.
Rob has been involved (for both Associated British Ports and for the Welsh Government) with the regeneration of Cardiff Bay since it first started in the 1990s. Most recently he acted for the Welsh Government on the Porth Teigr scheme at Roath Basin where he led the team delivering the legal input on the BBC drama studios project.
