We work closely with private individuals and families – but no one client is the same. Clients come to us with their own particular issues to discuss and whilst many are at similar stages in their life, their personal circumstances always vary.
A significant proportion of our work is for clients we have advised over many years, are too numerous to detail and whose details are, in any event, confidential.
However, by way of a typical example please see brief summary below:
- Family Trusts: Acting for longstanding clients and their family which has involved regularly reviewing their Will, power of attorney and inheritance tax planning and professional trusteeship of 3 family trusts holding shares in a family business. Most recently, advising them on relevant personal and trust planning following the sale of the family business and becoming advisers to each of their sons to whom family wealth is being cascaded.
- Inheritance Tax Planning: Advising business owner who suffers serious health issues, has children from previous marriage and who has now remarried on wills and IHT mitigation in relation to company shares. Ensuring provision is made for new spouse and adult children are by careful drafting of wills, powers of attorney and pension trust documentation.
