A hat-trick of success for Geldards Intellectual Property Dispute Resolution Team

2024 has so far resulted in three successful outcomes achieved for our clients in three months for the Geldards Intellectual Property Dispute Resolution team.

January saw us successfully settle a complex £7.5m contractual dispute related to a breach of IP licence provisions between a public sector client and an international pharmaceutical company, fully in favour of our client and without the need to resort to costly litigation proceedings.

We have also successfully defended our client, a UK manufacturer and supplier of ceramic goods, in a registered design dispute with a competitor in which unjustified threats of infringement were made unlawfully against our client.

The latest case resulted in a successful resolution of a Company Names Tribunal dispute on behalf of a major UK investor and business funder against a business using a similar registered company name and address in the course of trade, also in favour of our client.
