Geldards Advise EMB Group On Sale Of Brands To Amtivo Group

Geldards’ Corporate team are proud to have successfully advised EMB Group on the sale of part of its business to Amtivo Group.

Founded in 2005, EMB Group provides consultancy, accreditation and risk management services, as well as the delivery of over 100 publicly funded programmes. It was recognised in 2018 as one of 1,000 companies to inspire Britain by the London Stock Exchange Group.

Amtivo Group specialises in management system certification and creating high performing, sustainable organisations through accredited certification, training and technology-enabled services. The acquisition of EMB Group’s two strategically important brands, Ascentor and ACM-CCAS, add to Amtivo Group’s international presence and increase the range of services it can offer to its growing client base. The acquisition of ACM-CCAS strengthens Amtivo’s UK certification offering, while Ascentor provides a ‘military-grade’ cyber security consulting practice.

The deal was led by Geldards’ Corporate Finance team headed by Partner, Jenny Chatten, supported by Solicitor Manjot Shokar and Trainee Solicitor Hugh White. Senior Associate Caroline Findlay advised on the property aspects of the transaction.

Commenting on the deal, Jenny said:

“We have a long-standing working relationship with EMB Group and were very pleased to work with them on the sale of these two important brands to Amtivo Group. The deal was concluded very smoothly, and we look forward to working with them again in the future”.

EMB Group CEO, Stephen Smith, said:

“This sale is a real milestone achievement for EMB Group and something of which the Senior Team can be very proud. We’re very grateful to Geldards for their hard work, help and support in guiding us through the sale transaction. Knowing they were with us every step of the journey provided real confidence that this excellent result would be achieved.”
