Geldards Advise On Smart Hosted Solutions Ltd, Nottingham

Geldards’ Midlands-based Corporate team have successfully advised on the sale of Smart Hosted Solutions Ltd (VIA), a Nottingham based company, to communications company Wavenet, which is backed by Beech Tree Private Equity.

Smart Hosted Solutions was founded in 2012 and became a major UK Skype for Business provider, before transitioning into Microsoft Teams as it grew in popularity over the last year. The multi-million-pound acquisition will provide customers with an opportunity to get more out of Microsoft Teams with the additional products and services that Wavenet have to offer alongside.

The Geldards corporate team was led by Partner, Jenny Chatten, who was assisted by solicitor Manjot Shokar and trainee Molly Vandervell, and advising on the employment aspects of the transaction was Senior Associate solicitor, Maz Dannourah.
