Geldards advises Clowes on high spec industrial unit at Stud Brook Business Park for Shawpak

Geldards has successfully advised Clowes Developments on the long term lease of a new high-specification industrial unit at Stud Brook Business Park for Shawpak Ltd.

A global leader in medical device packaging machinery, Shawpak was founded in Derby in 2013 and the business has grown to become one of the most trusted systems worldwide for packaging critical medical devices, with a growing international customer base.

In a move to expand the company to support their long-term growth plan, Shawpak will relocate 50 employees from their Allenton site in Derby, taking advantage of excellent transport links and proximity to East Midlands Airport at Stud Brook Business Park.

Geldards provided property and construction legal expertise, advising Clowes on the build agreement for lease, led by Derby based partner Heather Dixon who heads up the Industrial and Logistics team, supported by legal assistant, Sarah Jackson, Infrastructure and Construction Partner Chris Hawrylak and solicitor, Laura Matthews.
