Geldards advises on major development at Clowes’ flagship Fairham Business Park
Geldards has successfully advised Clowes Developments on another significant development at Clowes’ flagship site at Fairham Business Park.
CLEAN Linen & Workwear is one of the UK’s leading laundry businesses, providing high quality linen and workwear rental services to a diverse range of sectors including hotels, hospitality and workwear. In a bid for business expansion CLEAN has secured a 72,000 square foot unit on Fairham Business Park for the relocation of their Nottingham facility.
Up to one million square feet of employment opportunities will be delivered at Fairham Business Park in addition to 3,000 planned new homes. With the addition of CLEAN, Fairham Business Park will provide employment for over 1000 people and boost inward investment for the region.
The bespoke unit will be fitted out with latest automation and laundry technology advancements to significantly enhance CLEAN’s capability. The building will be ready for occupation by mid-2026 and once occupied this will take the industrial and logistics space at Fairham Business Park to over half a million square feet.
Geldards advised Clowes on the sale and development agreement, led by Derby based partner Heather Dixon, who heads up the industrial and logistics team, supported by construction partner Chris Hawrylak.
Commenting on the deal, Heather Dixon said:
“Geldards was pleased to advise Clowes on the transaction with CLEAN, the latest leading business to choose the impressive facilities at Fairham Business Park to fulfil their expansion ambitions. The new facility will meet the highest efficiency and sustainability standards. This coupled with Fairham’s excellent transport links are essential to meet the demand for high quality space in the Industrial and Logistics market.”
