Geldards has long recognised the importance of being able to provide its clients with a global legal service. In order to provide this it has established strong relationships with commercial law firms around the world.

The firm is a member of the International Business Law Consortium (IBLC) a group of over 100 mid-size independent commercial law firms from more than 50 countries across Europe, North and South America, Africa, Middle East, South East Asia and Australasia. These firms have more than 1500 professionals with both general and specialist expertise in these countries.

The IBLC meets twice a year to enable members from around the world to network, forge strong relationships and exchange views and ideas on legal and other issues of interest to the international business community. All member firms have strong English language capability and understanding of international business trade and practice. This enables the firm to be confident in providing our clients with access to top quality international business lawyers who are in most cases personally known to us.

Geldards is also one of only two firms in the UK that have been accepted for membership of DIRO, a German based organisation consisting of some 100 law firms, 80 of which are in Germany and the rest spread throughout Europe, to provide support for businesses working in Germany.

The firm is an active member of Southern Derbyshire Export Club, and Partners in the firm are actively involved in the International Bar Association and American Bar Association.

The firm has French, German, Italian, Russian, Polish, Spanish and Welsh speaking lawyers.
